Section Description
In this section, learners are introduced to Tatum and Tommie as they begin their rainy day adventure. Children will listen to or watch a mini slide story and practice identifying the characters, setting, and main idea of the story.
This section helps young learners understand the beginning of a story by asking simple questions like:
Who is in the story? 👧🏽👧🏽
Where are they? 🏡🌧️
What is happening? 📖
How do the characters feel? 😊☔
Children will begin learning that rainy days can still be full of joy, discovery, and God’s blessings. 🌈✨
Section 2: 🐝 Understanding the Story and God’s Lesson 📖✝️
In this section, young learners go deeper into Tatum and Tommie’s rainy day story by practicing sequencing, vocabulary, and story retelling. Children will learn how to remember what happened first, next, then, and last.
This section also connects the story to a simple Biblical value:
God can use every day — even rainy days — to teach us something good. 🌧️💛
Learners will practice using picture clues, answering “what happened next” questions, and sharing what they learned from Tatum and Tommie’s adventure.
This section helps children build confidence in understanding and retelling a story in their own words.
