- 🌈 WEEK 1: Theme: Understanding the Feelings God Gave Us4
- 🌟 WEEK 2: Theme: Managing Big Emotions with Self-Control📖 Deep Course Description As children grow, they experience emotions that can feel overwhelming — anger, frustration, jealousy, disappointment, fear, and worry. These “big emotions” are not wrong. They are signals that something important is happening inside the heart. However, without guidance, children may react instead of respond. They may yell, withdraw, cry uncontrollably, or shut down because they do not yet have the tools to manage what they feel. Managing Big Emotions teaches children that: • Big feelings are normal • Emotions are not enemies • We can pause before reacting • God helps us practice self-control • We can choose healthy responses This week focuses on building emotional regulation skills rooted in faith. Children will learn that emotions do not control them — with God’s help, they can grow in self-control, patience, and peace. James 1:19 “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” The goal is not to eliminate emotions. The goal is to guide them wisely.3
- 🌟 WEEK 3: Theme: Bringing Every Feeling to God in Prayer📖 Deep Course Description Children often think they should only pray when they feel happy or when something is “serious.” But the truth is — prayer is a safe place for every emotion. This week teaches children that: • God welcomes every feeling • No emotion pushes God away • Prayer is honest conversation • We don’t have to hide our emotions • God helps us through every feeling When children learn to bring anger, sadness, worry, excitement, and confusion to God, they build lifelong spiritual resilience. Prayer becomes not just a habit — but a safe refuge. 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” This week helps children understand: God is not afraid of your feelings. He invites them.3
- Week 4: Theme: Growing Emotional & Spiritual Confidence📖 Deep Course Description Throughout this course, children have learned to: • Identify their feelings • Manage big emotions • Bring their emotions to God in prayer Now it’s time to grow confidence. Emotional confidence means: “I understand what I’m feeling.” “I know what to do when emotions feel big.” “I am not controlled by my feelings.” Spiritual confidence means: “God is with me.” “I can talk to Him anytime.” “I am not alone.” This week teaches children that emotions are signals — not bosses. With practice, wisdom, and God’s help, they can respond with strength, patience, and faith. Philippians 4:6–7 “Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God will guard your hearts.” This week celebrates growth and builds long-term emotional resilience rooted in faith.3
